Who We Are
Swim Across America is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment to support our network of doctors and researchers who are pioneering and developing new cures and treatments for multiple types of cancer. Every 15 minutes, 50 Americans are diagnosed with some form of cancer. This is a sobering reality. But the good news is that every year millions of Americans are beating cancer through advancements in treatments. Michael Phelps and over 100 Olympians support SAA.
What We Do
Swim Across America hosts annual charity swims that are either open water or pool swims in dozens of cities across the United States. The funds raised from these events are donated to a local cancer treatment and research center in the community where the swim event is held to support the center's cancer research and clinical trials programs. Each event involves not only swimmers but a multitude of volunteers to assist with event tasks like registration, water and dock safety, refreshments and other assignments.
