Welcome to the Swim Across America - Sound to Cove Open Water Swim! Established in 2001, SAA - Nassau / Suffolk Long Island has raised over $12 million for our beneficiaries: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the Feinstein Institute of Northwell Health, the University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital (The Stacey Leondis Fellowship) and SHARE Cancer Support. Thank you for your support of cancer care here in Nassau-Suffolk counties, Long Island, NY!
Each year we are proud to host over 250 swimmers and volunteers, spectators and supporters, as well as Olympians near and far at our Open Water charity swim. We are so excited to have you join us for our 24th annual swim on August 3 at Pryibil Beach! If Open Water is not your preferred choice, please see our Public and Club Pool swims below, or choose your own activity and support SAA as an SAA My Way participant. It's up to you, and we welcome all types of participation in support of our cancer research and support programs!
Whether you are a veteran swimmer or you're looking to do your first open water swim, we welcome you to help us "Make Waves to Fight Cancer."
For reference, review the 2023 Swimmer Safety Packet before our event.
