Back to School Fair – Friday, August 2nd
Each year our Back-to-School Fair serves over 650 children by providing them with the supplies and resources they need for the upcoming school year. To make the fair a success, we need the support of our generous community. The Back-to-School Fair equips children who are current clients of Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County or Child Protective Services for the new school year by providing them with brand-new backpacks, shoes, haircuts, and school supplies. The Fair also provides children and families with an evening filled with games, music, face-painting, and refreshments in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Ways to Get Involved:
- Collect backpacks and athletic shoes - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/10E1N02DRK08C?ref_=wl_share
- This year’s fair will be on Friday, August 2nd – 5-8 PM. We will have offsite parking available for all volunteers at a nearby church with shuttle service. Volunteer training will be at 4:30 PM. We will have dinner provided by the CUTX Food Truck for everyone.
CACC would love to have the following:
- A group of volunteers that will help hand out school supplies under a tent in our back parking lot. We will have two teams assigned to each tent for an A/B rotation *to avoid any heat related issues and keep everyone hydrated.
