In Detroit, 1,000 volunteers will come together to pack 250,000 meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity in the local community. The meals will be donated to and distributed by Forgotten Harvest. Nationwide, more than 25,000 volunteers will pack 9 million meals for those at risk of hunger in America.

ABOUT 9/11 DAY:
9/11 Day is the nonprofit organization that created and annually organizes the federally recognized September 11 National Day of Service & Remembrance.

Our mission is to inspire millions of Americans and others to rekindle the remarkable spirit of unity and compassion that arose in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, and to perform good deeds and other acts of service in tribute to the 9/11 victims, survivors, first responders, and members of our military who bravely rose in service in response to the attacks.
